ABOUT THE CHARITY
The Tampa South Group believes in finding and serving the higher purpose of business through charitable giving to the community. The Tampa South Charity Fishing Tournament is about having fun and giving back to the community at a local level where we can actually see the impacts. While the Tampa Bay area is quickly becoming one of the most affluent areas in the country it’s important to keep in mind that there is still plenty of people hurting with needs right here on our doorstep. When the Tampa Bay tide comes in all boats should rise, and this tournament allows us to raise money for local groups that need to see their tide come in.
This tournament is held every fall around the middle or end of October when the temperature is perfect for being on the water. Every year we select a different charity to donate too, and for the past few years, we have focused on local veteran groups. Trophies are awarded for:
- Biggest Snook
- Biggest Trout
- Biggest Redfish
- Master Angler - Total length combining any 3 fish
- Tampa South Fishing Tournament Champions (Team total length combining any 3 fish)
